What is the DOT Exam?

DOT evaluation basically involves key health indicators such as vision, hearing, blood pressure, and overall physical condition. Key Components of the DOT Exam
During dot exams, a certified medical examiner checks the required vital health metrics. The drivers have to go through several evaluations to determine their health.
- Vision Test: Drivers must have at least 20/40 vision acuity in each eye, with or without correction, and a field of vision of at least 70 degrees in the horizontal meridian.
- Hearing Test: There should be an ability to detect a forced whisper from 5 feet away to ensure drivers can hear essential sounds on the road.

Duration and Validity of the DOT Medical Certificate
